Nice baits! Tex-Rig it andFlip them into the nastiest cover you can find and catch you a HAWG! Make sure to match them up with heavy line, heavy rod!

I really like the Baby Brush Hog in the Watermelon Candy color. It's an awesome bait!

One of the locals uses them exclusively on his jigs in place of pig and jig he has hog and jig. He modifies them in the following manner.

Cut off the nose at the front of the leg loop then clip the front part of the loop at the lure body. Cut a V shaped notch in the rear lobes to emulate claws.....and lastly, use a razor blade or hobby knife to split the two trailing tentacles into 4 thinner ones.

The reason for cutting off the nose is to make the jig hook come out in the right place for good hookups.

In the spring, reservoir fishing, he uses 65 lb. braid line and throws the hog and jig into the heaviest cover he can find, usually a woodpile.

you will need a large hook either a 4/0-5/0 g-mag or gamakatsu super braid hook. texaspose it thru the body than skin hook it. as these baits are large i use the 4" tiny myself. it is nearly impossibla to set the hook thru the plastic.
