I don't know what the payout will be from the IFGA. I think Field and Stream offers a payout for a world record in any species. For some reason $50,000.00 rings a bell but I think it's more than that.

bps recently paid what 5 million bucks for that world record buck just to put it on display. think they would pull out the check book for a world record crappie in a heart beat. mind you they would be willing to pay to own the record. but the record would have your name on it -ie hanson buck-

You're right Zook. I've been thinking that for years. The next world record will be off bobber and a shiner....

And here I have thousands of dollars of tackle...

Really makes you sick.

IT'S ALL ABOUT BEING IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME.

I'm pretty sure the UK record Salmon, the most "prestigious" fish there is, was caught by some lady about 100 years ago near Floors castle. Newbies tend to have so much luck that I almost wonder if its not luck at all, but "thinking outside of the box"?

well, if i remember correctly, the lady was fishin a rooster tail past a brush pile....i would have done the same thing. while crappie fishin, roostertails are my favorite lures to use. and fishin them around brush piles is what i do 8) that doesnt seem so ''outside the box'', or maybe i am to ''outside the box''? but you guys wont have to worry, the next world record bass is comin in on the end of my pole. ;D
