Reels for sale
I have decided to sell off all of the equipment that I no longer use and is collecting dust.
If it does not have Daiwa or Okuma printed on it somewhere, it gets sold. Here is the list- Shimano Citica. Mint condition $60 Shimano Caylx. (compare to the Calcutta) a great reel with all the features of the callcutta, but with less bearings and a forged instead of milled frame. $60 Abu Garcia 3600 C4 Mag Trax. One of the most smoothest and long casting reels for the money. Features a magnetic and centrifical spool brake for effortless casting. Like new condition. $60 Abu Garcia 5600 C4 Mag Trax. Same as the one above but next size up. $60 2 Abu Garcia Anti-Backlash 5600's Unused great reels for the beginner or advanced as the anti backlash feature can be turned off. $60 each Quantum Accurist ACS. Great little reel with the adjustable centrifical spool brake control on the left side plate. Metal frame, 6 BB, Flipping switch. $50 Quantum MG This reel IMHO, is one of the best reels Quantum has ever produced. All the features of the higher end reels, but is a classic that was ahead of it's time. They changed the design last year after a 15 yr run. Parting with this reel will hurt the most. Mint condition. $70 More will be added to this list. If interested, PM, e-mail or call me at 727.858.5851 I accept Pay Pal, cash or check |

If it does not have Daiwa or Okuma printed on it somewhere, it gets sold. [/quote] Would you please expand on this. ??? I would like to know WHY these are the only brands you keep, yet you even touted the reels you're selling as very high quality ??? I know this will sound like a jerk asking this(really not intetional). Just wanted to understand why you would prefer these brands over all the others ??? Better drag/bearings/pitching/flipping/distance/brakes/etc.... Lizards |

Re: Reels for sale
No problem. I am sponsored by Okuma, all of my personal and client spinning outfits consist of Okuma reels and Falcon rods-which are also a sponsor.
The Daiwa baitcasters I use work the best for me. Took me years to find a bait caster I really enjoy. The reels I have sold and are selling are of high quality. I have been known to take very good care of my equipment. |

Re: Reels for sale
1310 MG They are still making them but as far as I heard, they will be phased out in favor of the newer MG that came out last year. I like this model over the newer one.
Had a chance to take one apart at a show in Tampa and was not pleased with all the plastic that made up some of this reels intenal workings. I prefer mags too over centrifical ;D |

Paying attention just costs to dang much Yes I know you've been using them, just wanted to know why DD was selling everything else in favor of them. ??? I would use only Okuma also if they sponsored me too But alas I will never be a huge tournament guy, I enjoy it to much to want to make it my job. Now WHEN I hit the lottery, I might do it, since I don't have to worry about paying the bills, and could sponsor myself, so I could use anything I wanted, and fish only the tournaments I wanted ;D And the rest of the time just fish all over the world, still looking for THE BEST BASS FISHING there is 8) And as you know, I don't know about baitcasters much yet, since I use spinning for everything, but I am learning, just seems real slow on that area compared to most everything else. I think it has to do with wanting to catch fish, instead of untangle backlashes :-/, but I'll get it down sooner or later. Then I will spend some money AGAIN, on some baitcaster reels. But Daiwa, man I don't know about those chronic problems they seem to always have ;D Lizards |
