Can't go wrong with a BPS Extreme for almost any use. Its on sale now for only $50, normally $80. They cast light lures as well as heave, it casts like a dream. Ask reb, he swears by them.

wal mart has curados for $69..what a deal.i recently bought 2.they seem to be a good reel.haven't tried them out yet. :-/

I sure do. All I use is the BPS Extreme. I would highly recommend then to anybody looking for a good baitcaster that will not cost you an arm and a leg. They are smooth, durable, and an all around great reel.

Tom, I can almost gaurantee you will LOVE those Curados. Â*My buddy got one for Christmas, let me cast it a couple times while out fishing and now I try to steal it from him everytime we go out. Â*;D

I am planning on getting the Quantum Accurist AC 500 which is about 90$ The next spet up is the Accurist Pt which is for about 130. But you can't go wrong with any Quantum reel!
But if I wasn't going to get a Quantum, I would have to get the Pfluger President. 10 ball bearings at 130 $.... well worth the price!!!
