Jordan, Its actually a hose that hooks into the front lower unit and works by water pressure. The old Ranger boat I owned, the water will sometimes run out of the speedometer gauge and down your legs when running to your fishing spots.Check to make sure a spider or mud dobber didn't plug the hole up not allowing the water to get to the gauge. yeah i have had problems with the speedo to, turns out my cable is to big ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D i just couldnt resist, i tried, but i couldnt. this is the wrong board tho, try bass boats and trailors.
