How do you peg your weight when using the texas rig in heavy vegetation?

I use the BPS pegs as well. The only issue I've had with them in that they do slip sometimes and slowly work their way up the line.

BPS pegs here too. Used to use toothpicks, but the BPS pegs are a much better way to go.

I'm old school.
Any dollar type store will sell me two packs of round tooth picks for $1.00.
These will last me several years.

I use peg-its, too. Doesn't damage the line like a toothpick can.

I too use the sinker stops from BPS. In the past I have used both Tooth picks as well as screw in weights. All will work but the sinker stops have worked the best by far and make the most sense to me because all of the other methods leave a foreign object touching the line which can cause your line to break.

I don't think you can, but it's like $1.79 for a bunch of them, so I don't think it's too big of a deal.

Sinker stops are the way to go. I don't see any way to reuse them. I have never thought about since they are cheap compared to some of the other things that I buy for fishing.

Lurker first post, but what I do with braid is to tie a loose knot onto the metal wire loop then I pull the sinker stop back down onto the loop, do it slowly as the wire breaks easily, keep the knot loose so you can undo it off the metal wire. The other option is to leave the sinker stop on the line cut about 3"-4" off and tie a loop at the end line, when you want to reuse just put your new line in the loop and pull the sinker stop onto your new line. They are cheap enough to just throw out, but I always try and save them.
