Default spinnnerbait blade size

How are spinnerbait blades sized? I was looking to order some blades but did not know what size to get.

JAW,

Look in the BPS catalog. They have the sizes of spinnerbait blades of all types and sizes. There is a page that shows the outline of each size.

The smaller the number, the smaller the blade.

JackL which catalog is it in and on what page?

PNJ I clicked on spinnerbait blades then clicked on a type of blade. Then near the top of the page it says Click Here for Spinnerbait Component Size Compatibility Chart. I clicked on it. Is it just talking about a tandem blade spinnerbait? Being the dummy I am I can't figure it out.

The lead blade or shaft blade in willowleafs are sizes 3, 3.5 ,4 and the trail blade is size 4, 4.5 ,5. If you like a tandem spinnerbait use like a #2 colorado blade with a #4.5 willowleaf. In colorado blades use like a #3 & #5. Nothing is carved in stone.alot of times on 3/4 oz. spinnerbaits I use a #4 lead willowleaf with a #6 trail willowleaf blades that are painted chartreuse for smallmouths.it looks too big for smallmouth, but it catches alot of fish.I hope this helps, P N J
