SPENT 65 on new tackle and nothing
Spent 65 on new tackle today---already have a ton of tackle but after being here decided to get some crank baits-and tubes and headed down to the river. Not one bite---the water is pretty clear and tried everything. Not having much luck so far this yr.Tried to buy tiki sticks but couldnt find any? anyone know where i can get em? |

We have tiki sticks at my walmart - btw, it seems that your monkey lied to you about the effectiveness of the baits you recently bought - join the club.

Re: SPENT 65 on new tackle and nothing
Welcome to my world BT. I spent 60 dollars on worms and lizards and tiki sticks this past week and caught nothin'. I was fishin' in privat ponds at a fishin' club friday, saturday, and sunday. I caught two bass after I gave up on the bass and started catching bluegill with a beetle spin.

The "Wiz Bang" might be the in the same catagory as the Zook-n-stein. Never seen either one and don't really wish to !

You actually fish with your whiz-bang!!! Â* Â*I worship mine. Â*Its kept in a secret buddhist monestary high in the himalalyas. Â*I've got it lying on a cashmere pillow made by Gandhi himself. Â*I have the Dali Lama ritually offer it sacrifices of custom-painted cranks three time a day. Â*Every year I am escourted by an armed guard to it, no trails go there. Â*I live there for three dyas and pray to it. Â*After the return trip I have to drug each of the guards so they can't remember how to get to it Â* Â* ;D. |

Re: SPENT 65 on new tackle and nothing
Whiz Bang History
Up until about 1978 the Whiz Bang was a popular lure and almost every fisherman had at least one. Most had several, of different colors and sizes. My grandfather had one of the original, hand-made Whiz-Bangs. It was something to see, truely beautiful. In the early 1980's, the Whiz-Bang fell out of favor, and some people even began to mock it's abilities. It went the way of the pocket fisherman and was rare to see. The early 2000's are seeing a resurgance of the whiz-bang lure. It is finally understood that some designs are just natural fish catchers. As Heddon's Lucky 13 and the Smithwick Devil's Horse have had a resurgance, so has the Whiz-Bang. It is being rediscovered as the lure for all seasons... Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, the Whiz-Bang is the lure to catch them all. |

Re: SPENT 65 on new tackle and nothing
would love to get my hands on one of the original. they just have that certain movement to them....almost as if it is the ''perfect bait'' but i have never even been in the company of a original whiz bang...i have the newer editions which includes as follows: whiz-el-bang-2003, all american special wobbler edition whiz bang-2002 the whiz-shadow-bang-2000(exclusive to only a few) nightstalker whiz bang-2005, hot rod edition double chromed whiz bang-2001, and the custom double chrome movement special whiz bang-2006(not out for sale yet, i have connections) all these have never seen the water, except the nightstalker which caught me numerous 5lb bass...then i put it up with the rest of them....im still lookin for the gold plated marvel edition whiz bang....thats a hard one to find. but all are kept in a safe about 100 miles out in the nevada desserts.
