Default What a bridge!

Anyone care to ride across on a windy dar? What you see in the composite image above is a panoramic view of the Millau Viaduct (Viaduc de Millau), a cable-stayed bridge spanning the Tarn River in southern France. Standing 1,118 feet high at its loftiest point, it is indeed the tallest bridge in the world. Shown above while still under construction, the Millau Bridge was completed ahead of schedule and officially opened to traffic in December 2004.

Why the hell did they build that? To see how dangerous they can possibly make a bridge? To see how much tax money they can spend? To employ a bunch of unskilled cheese eating surrender monkeys?
