Bassintxlady and I went out Saturday and weather'd the weather for 3 nice winter bass. Of course we had to deal with the cold temps and then rain and of course, the worst of all, the wind factor. Bassintxlady landed the first one about 2 hours into our trip, and then pulled in another a short time later, she got the best of me again, Dang those show off side kicks.....
I managed to lose my first one by getting my 8# test stuck in my trolling motor. My partner tells me it was a good one, I didn't see it, just the wake from where he/she jumped out of the water. There is one nice thing about being in the back of the boat when the wind is kicking up, you don't have to play with the trolling motor all the time while trying to fish. Anyone detect a hint of whine in there somewhere???
I lost another nice one I blieve shortly after catching my first one, due to the light weight I was using on my Trig. I couldn't feel the fish on my line soon enough due to the bow in my line from the wind factor. We caught all our bass fishing soft plastics Trigged, I was using the Vibracraw, and she was using a black floating worm, and a finesse purple curly tail worm. Hope everyone's holiday was a good one and have a safe and happy new year all.

Bet

We keep Frog Toggs in the boat year round, they really cut the wind chill, and they are light and very good at keeping you dry. Don't go fishin in cold weather without them. OK commercials over

The real reason I love to have bassintxlady in the boat and bending that rod is the look of excitement on her face when she hooks up, it's like takin a kid to disneyland or something. I just love to watch her set the hook and reel in a nice one. You all should have heard her last spring at one of our favorite fishing holes, she landed 3 nice bass on three straight cast's. I was still fumbling with the trolling motor and getting my self set in her little basshunter, and in the mean time she was hoopin and hollerin about having "another one" .....
Seriously guys, she can back a trailer down a ramp faster and straighter than I can, she comes in handy for taking pictures of my big toads, she carries them "handy wipes" around with her, she fetch's my pop/water for me (if I ask her nicely) and last but not least, she's pretty nice to look at when the fishin is slow.

i have to thank you bet for your most lovely comments about me that's for sure....and i'm sure if zooker ever fished with a lady then he'd change that tune....but then again....he might never go fishing again if he's waiting on finding a lady to go with him....you see we prefer gentleman over neanderthals....and thanks too jb....but in all honesty....most men only dream and wish for a woman like me with the passion for fishing i have that would accompany them in their boats for a day let alone every trip....so suck it up fellas yes bet is a very blessed man .....and i too consider it an honor to be his "first mate".......now shut up and fish!!!!!!!......

i have fished with several gals..my girlfriend does like to fish. i don't push the subject..

you WILL notice i do not use the term "lady" as this in my vast experiance is a "cover" that woman use. and trust me the term is WAY over abused..

the whole point is i fish for the solitude if it..

and i resemble the " neanderthal"....

well zooker...it's hard to imagine that you have alot of experience in your young age bracket...but the term i use to describe myself is "lady"....for that i am truly indeed.....as for other "gals" that you have met it's for them to decide if they prefer to be one or not....

as for the "resemble" remark...i wouldn't know having not met you only going by your postings on here....

now shut up and go fishing!!!!!!!!.....
