Default Snow Report

Just curious, how much snow have y'all got so far this winter? The white stuff is a pretty foreign concept 'round here.
We got two mornings of frost, and two nights below freezing

We've had a pretty good year. (Not much snow) Not too cold either. It was pretty warm in the fall and beginning of winter.

We've had maybe 2 major snowfalls with maybe 3 more nights of light snow.

This was like the 1st of December.

Have had a couple of good snows and the weather had been mild until about 3 weeks ago when it turned bitter cold with below zero lows and has stayed that way.

There is over 7 ft. of snow on the ground just North of me.My yard has just a trace of snow on the ground, but its been any where from 10 above to 14 below zero on the thermometer every morning without adding the wind chill factor, its taking its toll on Businesses and schools. They have been closed alot due to freezing water, power outages.....Robby, Yes we would like some snow, it has good insulating value, the fact that we don't have the normal snow amount and with the colder windy temperatures, its raising hell with us right now. Nope. Last winter. Christmas Eve as a matter of fact. First time EVER in recorded history-a white Christmas in south Texas. And San Antonio? The white Christmas started 45 miles south of here .

We have probably had about a foot total which is amazing for west Texas. Supposed to snow again later this week. My town is rediculous about snow. Its all over the local news and schools are closed for like 2 or 3 inches. Its amazing how bad of drivers these people are when there is an inch of snow on the roads. Took me 90 minutes to get to school one morning because it snowed 2 inches the night before. Morons!!!

Jeepers Cats, I live in the North where snow is the normal and somehow I feel left out. I started up my snow blower twice this winter so far. That was just to see if it starts alright, incase I did get some snow to remove.Did you ever hear the story from the old timers, who had to walk 10 miles to school every morning? It seems as though they were always walking in snow azzhole deep to a tall indian, no matter the time of year ?If you did, you must be a damned Yankee as well. P N J

Yep tuesday night, they calling for a bad storm possible 15" of the shyt.Any one know if they measured the snow in Perry, NY today like they were supposed to ?Perry had 11'4" of snow on the ground yesterday. Its a new State record if the weather people measure it like they were supposed to, I think the old record was 10'7".P N J

We have had a bitter cold snap for the last 2 weeks and last night it warmed up enough to snow about 4". They are calling for another 6" tonight. I keep telling myself in about a month the weather should start warming.

About forty minutes from me a little town called redfield on the Salmon River Resevoir (Good Smallmouth fishing) just set some kind of record with 143 plus inches in ten days... I've got about 3-4 feet total this winter -Spring is a long way off!

They updated my area for 16-24" of snow by morning. It got here about 2 hours after the time they estimated it to hit my area, lets just hope they are wrong on the amount of snow as well, but I doubt it, its snowing and accumulating pretty quick already. P N J
