Life in a Cabin
We just got home from a week of cabin life on the hillsides of Lake Logan...the wife took a tad of a "accident" while grilling out some angus, but trooper that she is, is OK now *link*
As soon as we hit the lake I saw tons of large mamas laying in beds with thier lil buckbass in tow, you could throw anything at either one of them and they would turn away and hide in this thick brush type plant that covers the lake, then some juvinile 11 inch bass would come in and hit what ever you threw in....pretty much the name of the tune all week...lots of dinks that were part of the spawning plan. Full moon and perfect conditions to fish, just no big uns AT ALL... Other than that we hiked old mans cave and other areas looking for mushrooms, but that front was dry too...tomorrow I'll hit brookville and hopefully get some real size bass. We took a few cameras with us but 99% of the pics are on our Minkolta 35mm, and most of those pics are of deer, a ton of hummingbirds that were on the backporch of the cabin along with the hottub. We did see a old folks protest in one town on the way, but we never did figure out what they were protesting link |

I'm going to my cabin this weekend. I got a report that the bass are in the shallow wood. Can't wait. JB I don't think I can top all of your excitment but I'll try.
