I was just wondering what some of the best baits or lures was to use on about a 10 acre lake that has alot of cover. Most is about 5 ft. deep, alot of tree stumps and other bruch that is noticable though.

Spinnerbaits, soft plastics, jigs, and square billed crankbaits would be my choices. I'd start with a spinnerbait or crankbait to try for the active fish and then slow down with a jig or T-rig.

I'd go with natural colors-watermelon, watermelon red, green pumpkin and shad colors with some chartreuse added in.

Here is the rule of thumb I use for choosing colors: Clear water-natural colors Stained-natural colors with chartreuse-I either use baits with chartreuse or dye it with chartreuse Spike-It. Muddy-depends on the sky conditions. It it is sunny I use bright colors-hot pink, merthiolate, lemon, orange, etc. Cloudy I go back to natural colors.
