I dont believe it.

That fish pictured is deffintely in the double-digits, probably 17lbs +, but not 27lbs, its also photoshopped. Look at the placement of his hands, see any indentations on the bass saying that there is someone holding it? I dont. Also that guy isnt going to hold it out so straight with ease with the grip he has on it. Its a crock. It would be all over the news, and everywhere else, and anyone who thought they may have had a 20lb+ bass would get it officially weighed, no matter what.

FAKE!! The shadow on his sweatshirt doesn't even match the light on the fish. If they used a flash to get the shine of the fish, there wouldn't be any shadow on the guy's shirt. I hope no one else believes that crap.

If i caught that fish, i would want my face in the picture too, not blacked out.
Total Bull Crap. But give him an "A" for effort

The fish has flash bulb reflections all over it.

The guy is shaded on the left side, which indicates no flash. Plus he is standing against a wall, there should be really defined shadows cast by a flash bulb.

Its fake as can be.

Thanks a lot, BH-now I have that picture of Zooker in my mind and can't get it out!

If someone took a 27 lb bucketmouth to get mounted you know dang well the taxidermist would have weighed it and would have told the guy he had a possible world record and that he needed to report it.

Man that makes me mad at the record people! Because that 25 pounder that was foul hooked wasnt counted because i mean hell, he pulled it in and it is the biggest bass i ever heard of. this bass looks a tiny bit smaller than the 25 pounder. Unless that dude stuck lead weights down it throat i think it is a bunch of crap. the regulations are a tiny bit strict since the didnt count the 25`er.

Some guy did that with a smally in washington, they caught him so he didn't get the state record smally.

According to the Sport Fish of Freshwater handbook written by Vic Dunaway, the record as of 2002 is 10lbs 14oz. But that was... 5 years ago, so there very well may have been a record breaker as superfluke is implying. But I dont know, I'm just going by the book.

The fish in which this whole thread is about is a Largemouth... although it is not a new worl record, its a nice fish probably in the mid teens.
