I'm a big fan of the Copper Perch color in the 1.5. I've caught every predatary fish except for Bass with it in club tournaments. Out of club tournaments, I catch nothing but bass on them. I'm going to have to try the DD series.

Thanks WI. I've always wanted to pick up a couple but never did due to the price. Think I'll get a couple.

They've (BPS) had the baits on sale every winter for the past two years. Last year was a challenge getting them because you had to have the exact catalog and page # to order the baits. I've been using the 1.5 for a while now and find that they are great baits to fish very fast. RC says that he designed them to run as fast as you can reel and not role over. I posted last spring that I had a bass jump out of the water to eat one at the boat and it was in 52 degree water. The bill is the key to the bait. I'm afraid that by changing to a deeper bill you won't get the same action or vibration. If you like the RC 1.5 or 2.5 then check out the Fat CB BDS 2. Very similar in design but 32+ shad colors and 10 more crawfish colors. I don't see them on sale all that often though. |
