First you need to start large and agressive by working a 5in. swimbait around the tail section. Just be careful not to get your line wrapped around the horizontal stabilizer. If this doesn't work try a senko near and around the wings and ailerons while staying clear of the engines. If you get to close to the engines the grimlins will steal your senko and replace it with a bolt while putting niks in your line. Engine grimlins are the most likely cause of the crash. They cause planes to go down in the water so they can hide behind the cowling and wait for un-suspecting fisherman to come by and steal their soft plastics as food.

If still no luck you can always run a crankbait near the fuselage. Remember to watch out for the pitot tube, they can get hot.

Under 600 feet of water....have no idea. Trolling with a bathysphere might just do the trick.

Mac is right, The plane sank where the bottom is 610 feet deep.Its gonna take a reel with plenty of line capacity.The deepest part is unknown. In a July tournament, I was catching trout 400 feet down using a seth green rig since the cable only goes 200 feet down on my downriggers. Its odd to catch fish that deep, they're cold and slimey when you finally get them to the boat.

stick with a tube, ya can woof down a sammie n beer by the time each cast reaches the bottom...rofl

In the Indian Creek section of Douglas Lake there are a lot of sunken cars. Evidently the local area car thieves like to dispose of them out of sight. They are great fish attractors. You have to be quick . Often a heavy bass will run inside a car with your line and roll the windows up. Those pesky thieves could be curteous enogh to knock the windows out before they sink the cars.
