Last I saw it was 3.05 for 87 in Alabama, but it was trending upwards. I expect that to continue, especially if the northeast has a cool winter.

I saw 3.09 today. And they say it aint likely to get no cheaper anytime soon. And the oil ceo's keep getting bigger bonuses. It's a shame we can't organize a great american gas out. Just a few days where no one in the country buys gas. Just to scare em.

I paid $2.75 in Houston today and thats about 15 cents under everyone else. I read somewhere that oil at $100 a barrel, gasoline should be $4 a gallon.
Go figure. |

WE HAVE KNOWN THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN FOR 30 YEARS YET WE DID NOTHING TO PREVENT IT.EVEN NOW PEOPLE WON'T SLOW DOWN.IF YOU DRIVE AT 55 INSTEAD OF 70 YOU WILL GET 15 TO 20 PERCENT BETTER GAS MILELAGE.THAT WOULD CUT DEMAND ENOUGH TO LOWER PRICES.WE HAVE NOT DRILLED OR BUILT NEW REFINERIES IN YEARS BECAUSE OF ENVIRONMENTAL EXTREMISM.WE HAVE ENOUGH OIL IN THIS COUNTRY OFF THE COAST OF FLORIDA AND IN ALASKA AND OUT WEST UNDER SHALE ROCK TO BE OIL INDEPENDENT BUT THEY WON'T LET US DRILL.WE SHOULD GET THAT OIL AND AT THE SAME TIME DEVELOP ALTERNATIVE ENERGY.PLUS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE NEED TO SLOW DOWN.oops, sorry about the caps lock being on!!!

Dodge, with all the small cars now on the road and getting upwards of 20mpg why is gas still going up? Is it because as you say "70 and not 55"? I agree we should be drilling and most certainly looking to develop other fuel sources. I wonder if since most families are forced to have two wage owners there are more cars on the road? It wouldn't be because we are getting gouged by the oil companies. They would never do that. Sometimes I also wonder if they won't drill now in the future we will be able to control the market with our reserves. Also, doesen't Russia have vast oil deposits?

The main reason is demand is so high oil companies like Exxon who set record profits last year did so making about the same amount of profit off of each gallon they sold they just sold so much more gas.
