small badin tournament

Went sat. to badin for a little twenty-two dollar tournament had 18 boats. We were number 18 and thats how we finshed no fish. Fished up about all day parnter lost keeper right off the bat looked about 15 inches. Caught 4 small fish around piers. Finally convinced parnter to go to old whitney. Hooked a good four pound fish maybe a little better about a hour before tournament was over my partner missed it with the net it came back up and spit the hook. It took seventeen pounds to win and big fish was five pounds. Had a great time just wished could have prefished. Been on tilliery alot lately and thats where the next tournament is in four weeks. At twenty-two dollars a boat you can,t beat it.

Thanks the lake we fished I had not been there in six years so we got what we had coming to us. But we still had a great time that is all matters.

i love those small dogfight tournaments. most of ours around here will run you about $30 and generally have 25-25 boats. you can meet a lot of good guys in them and usually learn quite a bit too. most guys here are willing to share a little bit about what they were doing to catch their fish (nobody gets too specific and i don't expect them too). before the tourney everyone is tight lipped but if you pay attention to the boat ramp discussions afterwards there is a lot of knowledge shared.
