Unhappy Prayers needed

Just found out this morning that my mother has diabetes. This doesnt sit too well since my dad was just diagnosed with prostate cancer not too long ago. The good news is that they have already removed the cancer from my dad and they feel it was isolated enough to have it all cut out. Thanks guys

god bless you man, praying for you now. my mother has had diabetes for over 30 years. it is hard to watch our parents suffer from this . dad has had 5 bypasses on his heart. mom also has arthur too. guess that is where i get it from.lol. but you take heart man, the meds that are out today make it easier for her to adjust. mom has the pump in and she loves it. whenever she eats something, she just punches in the numbers and the machine does the rest. but i will pray for your parents. and tell us if your dad is okay. keep us posted.

Hope you and your family make it out OK, Tim.

My Dad has Type 2 and he's been doing good for three years, slthough he is on Insulin.

Diabetes is not all too bad compared to some of the other things that could happen. My grandma has had severe diabetes for a very long time and the doctors have a hard time controlling it because she, unlike most diabetics, has extreme highs, AND lows.

Eating right and taking medicines can help control diabetes quite well. Your mother will learn what's good to eat, and what's not.

Just keep prayin' and you'll all get through everything fine. I'll keep both your mother and father in my prayers.

My family has been dealing with diabetes for years. My father in law has had it long before I joined the family. The medicine and eating right helps a lot, but family support seems to help too. I wish you all the best. Take care!

Prayers have been sent for your family! My grandfather has it as well as my father so I'm sure I will see it too. They do just fine though. They just do the things they need to do to keep it under control. Your mom will probably have to change a few things but I'm sure she will be just fine!

Checking her blood sugar three times / day, staying on a diet, planning her meals and staying physically active will help your Mon get the diabetes under control.. I’ve had diabetes for the past 20 years and have leaned it isn’t so bad as long as I follow the rules. It isn’t easy at times but I have to deal with it. I wish your parents the best. I know your Mom will get it under control and live a happy and normal life. My best to you and your mom... Carpy

My Dad dealt with diabetes most of his life.He also had 5 bypasses. In 2003 i gave hime a kidney and he was able to get off the dialysis machine and enjoy a better quality of life,if just for a little while. In July of 05 he passed away.I sure do miss him.

I've only been a member of this forum for a few weeks and I think it's great that members share their concerns and burdens with one another. My wife and I will join you in prayer for your family.
