Default rain rain and more rain

Seems like every weekend around here it does nothing but rain. It rained this weekend but I 've been down with a bad cold anyways. Long range for next weekend is-you guessed it, more rain. Not that I won't fish in it but geez a couple of nice sunny days would be nice.

It was nice here yesterday, and I don't let a little rain stop me but today it was a high of around 50 and steady downpour. Those conditions mean you would have to have a darned good reason to be out there. I did consider it anyway though, but thought the cold front would have given them lockjaw.

Get a GOOD rainsuit, with a rainsuit of high quality you'll never regret getting it. It'll last a long time, better than those that need replacing each year.
They may cost a little more but there worth it. Something to consider.

Bassman30 last time I sat in a storm fishing I had about 2 inches of water in the bottom of the boat. I came in put the boat on the trailer and drained it. Went back out and about an hour later it poured again. The second time there was lightning. I couldn't believe it but some guy stayed out in it all. I do have a good rain jacket but need some pants.

Bassinbob, I feel your pain. We Pennsylvanians have been getting a lot of rain. In fact, it is raining while I am typing this response. And looking at the weather for next weekend, they are predicting more rain on Sunday. Generally, I don't mind fishing in the rain (with my work and kids, I am happy to fish anytime I get the chance), however, the cold front is what I don't like. Unfortunately, we have had both - - - the rain and the cold. Can you believe that it was 80 degrees this past Wednesday? Why can't we get that kinda' weather on the weekend?

bassinbob,
Check out BPS. They have quality bibs but they cost a little more than regular bibs. I got mine for $150 on sale. They are still great and I've had mine for over 3 yrs.
Cabelas has good bibs, but I don't have these so therefore I can't provide any info.

if you hunt for something that lives in the water sometimes you have to get wet.

lowrider,
Froggtoggs are good for rain and wind as well, the only problem is that I've been through two pairs and they didn't hold up well.
Granted, they fold up well and won't take up alot of space but they will and can tear up eventually. For short terms they are good but when used on a regular basis they won't last. Take this info. from experience.
