when we bought my new boat we looked long and hard at ordering a new stratos. i ended up buying my ranger at a good price and it was more boat than the stratos i was looking at, but i did like the stratos boats a lot. they seemed to be a very good fishing platform and at a good price as well. on the other hand i am not a fan of nitros at all, not even the Z series as i have heard a lot of horror stories about their lack of customer service and all their dealers around here seem to be pricks (bigger than most boat dealers if you can imagine that). but that is just my 2 pennies worth, there are a lot of guys who fish out of nitros so they can't all be bad or nobody would buy a second one.

I can't speak of those 2 boats exactly but last year when I bought mine it was between a 285 and the same sized Nitro. Since the lakes were frozen here I couldn't test drive them, but I liked the Stratos better so that is what I went with and I have been pleased ever since. Both boats had their pluses, but I liked the Stratos more. Also the dealer threw in many things for me and I don't think that Nitro will do that.

http://www.lundboats.com/1675proguide_2008.html This is what i am Looking at!!! As much as i want a bass boat. I like the way these boats ride in rough water on the Missouri River. Plus when i go back home to wisconsin. It's almost a need for a deep V. This is allot smaller than the ol 20 footer was.
