Didn't want to hijack Zook's post on the Okuma reel but I've been throwing the Browning Midas this spring. Yesterday I decided to let a swim bait fly deep into the pad field I was fishing. I was amazed at the distance I was getting from this reel
 . Part of the reason I believe for the distance was the extra wide spool and it's matched with a wrap around rod. I really let one go and just watched it sail. As I said....amazed. It outperforms my Shimano Scorpion.I can't wait until the topwater bite kicks in on the river. |
