Lake Casa Blanca Today, I went fishin' at Lake Casa Blanca... I went to this cement structure, about 4-5 foot water depth, I was fishing a small crappie tube jig.. I caught a 14 in. bass, my father caught 2 catfish and a bluegill.. I got alot of bites... i just could not set them (I was excited with all the action!). I need help on how to set the hook properly. Any comments, please do not hesitate to ask... thanks! -stevo

what kind of pole are you using medium or medium heavy and how was the tude rigged ? if you were using a lighter pole sometimes it is not enough to pull the hook through the tube for a fast set .

I' think it is probably the really light rod, I'd I agree with Jim... You should still feel the bites fine with a medium rod....
