Default wow, just wow.

You can tell when a school really cares about its student's edjucashun. (Yes this is about the same school that gets a day off for the county fair(I know, I know, it is VERY redneck)).

I'd like to state now that this doesn't surprise me one bit.

So, we recieved our 2007-08 yearbooks today. I get mine and flip through it quickly(I know more people than I care to, so...). Then I close it and look at the cover. Nice design, but what's this? The name of the yearbook, Valhalla, was spelled wrong. ... Yup, it was, and on all of them. So now our yearbook is the Valaha.

I know no one really cares (I don't even really care), but I just thought I'd share.

BB

That's pretty bad BB.
Back when I was in school, some girls that did the yearbook had a crush on this one guy and all the pictures were of the two girls and him!! Some people were pretty upset about that one!

Bama, I know what you mean about the spelling of a name. My last name gets me looks all the time.... even the law questions it, the sec. of state and so on.... It's not fun, but I can always tell when people are trying to sell me something. They can't pronounce it!

I didn't think Zooker was a very hard name to spell. Must've been your last name.

Talking

When the yearbooks for our rival school, Robt. E. Lee, were issued during our Senior Year, they discovered that the name of our superintendent had been misspelled.
Background:
Older readers may recall the furor when Little Rock Arkysaw was compelled to integrate it's public schools during the late 50's. The redneck governor, Orval Faubus (how's that for a name) resisted. The superintendent saw the handwriting on the wall and basically got canned by the gov. Pres. Ike federalized the Arky Nat'l Guard and enforced integration. The guardsmen must have excreted adobe. (See: S--- bricks).
Anyway, the former super was hired in the same capacity by the North East Independent School District here in San Antonio. At that time there were only two high schools. The "Flagship", Douglas MacArthur, had opened as North East HS in '51 but was renamed when the second HS opened in '58...Lee.
That superintendent's name? Virgil T. Blossom, who got a full-page portrait in the yearbook, said book being called "The Traveler" after Bob's horse.
The misspelling under the pic? VirGin T. Blossom.
Immediately, recipients were instructed to turn in the YB's with the promise they'd be replaced ASAP (They were.) But the savvy kids did not turn theirs in and they are treasured relics to this day.

Grateful to be a MacArthur Brahma!

Well, Zooker always misspells his own name so what is the problem?
