and he really put it on me today.went to basspro to pick up a crankin rig and ended up leaving with a new 7ft med extreme woo daves rod, with a new 5-4-1 ratio extreme reel, and while i was there i picked up a 6,6 med-hvy woo daves extreme with a 6-4-1 ratio reel to tie my buzzbaits too. also added 18 bandit cranks 100-200 60 pack of worm sinkers 75 gammy ewg hooks-red 2-100 bulk bags of berkley power worms the old monkey is really powerful, also got some new jigs on the way i hope from thunderstruck jigs.hopefully when the weather gets better he will leave me alone long enough to do little fishing. |

I had an order all ready from Tackle Warehouse but pushed the wrong button. I beat the monkey this time. But I still have to buy myself some things for Christmas. Anybody ever use the MS Slammer or Castaic flukes? How about a suggestion on a pitching rod to go with my MG? He's gonna get me.

The monkey doesn't lose often--sounds like you had a good haul. Did you drive yourself crazy going back and forth trying to decide what to buy? I know it's still fun.

lol... i find having your girlfriend/wife with you helps control the monkey a bit.. you all should know better than to hit the bps all alone..we really need a sport group to assist us in defeating the the bait monkey.. zooker

the 1st step is admitting you have a problem, heck we can't get to step 2. because the monkey keeps us down. besides, i don't know how much help a support group would be when a minute into the meeting we'd be trading crankbaits and arguing over which reel is better.

You did real well, congratulations on your new tackle.Try to keep only enough hooks with you that you will need so they don't all rust on you.I can't tell you how many hundreds of hooks I ruined before wising up. lmao......
