Default Guitar Hero III

I am sitting here watching my 11 year old daughter totally shread to Guitar Hero III. We purchased the game about a year ago and we played it a little. I played a bit more and am decent. I actually am pretty good at medium and can complete about 10 songs on hard without getting booed off the stage. My daughter on the other had can complete almost every song on hard and gets better ever song she plays. I suspect that expert will be not much of a challenge to her after a few hundred more songs. I just love watching her hands when she plays. It is just crazy.

Thats cool , maybe she can someday learn to play guitar. I actually just read in our local paper that with the intensity of the new video game systems that people are actually thinking they are capable of really doing these things and being good at them...example , Wii tiger woods golf , people are good on the video game , then in real life , they find out they suck... not trying to trash your thread , just bringing up something I recently read.

I think it is hysterical that people think they can be good at the real thing just because they are good at the video game. The only thing that I think would be remotely close would be the drums on the Rock Band game. I may be wrong but I think the game drums are very close to the real ones. At least that game can teach you some rhythm with drums. The guitar hero is nothing like the real thing. However, I am actually thinking of picking up the real guitar just learn but not because of guitar hero. I just think it would cool to play and I don't think guitar hero would be any help.

try and master "through the fire and flames" in the bonus songs on expert. Do that and you are a guitar hero god. I can make it through on hard sometimes but i don't know how anyone could ever do that song on expert.

I can't get through that in medium. I watched my nephew do that song on expert and only miss 3 notes. I personally think he turned into Rainman for about 7 minutes.

And your exactly right WTL. If it was anything like the real thing, it would not be as popular. I would love for a game system to come out with a game that taught you how to play the guitar for real. I am sure it is possible but I don't think it would sell that great.

My 11 year old can play expert and can play hard behind his head. We own GH2, 3, and rock band.

I can kick *** on medium, get thru songs on hard, and wont even try expert anymore. My hands just dont move that fast.

My game of choice was Warcraft, untill It took over my life. I sold my warcraft account for $200 on e-bay in 20 minutes. Yes you heard me, someone paid me 200 bucks for my username and password to a video game. Wich allowed me to buy a Revo Premier

I'm alright at GH. Got 5 stars on all easy songs and 90% of medium ones. I'll probably never get to hard, but I still love playing that game. As for Wii bowling, I'm much better at that than the real thing.

Actually I think Guitar hero is a good finger exerciser and if you do it right helps get the hand and fingers to stretch. Helps with the coordination too. It helps a lot more than you'd think.

The only game I was ever really good in was the original zelda.

I remember one night at a small party we had a Wii with zelda on it, and I sat down about 1 in the morning and proceeded to go through the entire game in about 2 hours. I get to the boss, ganon, and we put it on pause so everyone can see me win the game - only for someone to trip over the power cord on the way over. Shows over, lol.
