Don't ya just love free downloads?
I got a laptop back from my son last year, rebuilt it and took weeks to get it running the way I like it, and then loaded all my photography and photoshop programs in..It ran great for months! note: it did... So, I usually run Avast on most of the pcs on our network, but this time I elected to use good ol AVG, I've put it on many a pc and used it from time to time on mine. Sat night it updated, and some how during the update installation it appears to be done, but has hung up somehow. This wouldn't be a big deal, but it immediately shut off my router and no more internet signal. Plus when I go to uninstall AVG it uninstalls but at the end it wont creat a backup file for two files, and refuses to complete the uninstall..in other words you re stuck with it or reformat. I looked up AVG 8 and its a common bug in the program..just a heads up to ya all. So last nite I reformated and lost it all, no biggie, had to go online and fine a driver for Netgear router wireless, I got that and it says I'm running super slow but its actually running really fast. The last few hours I've downloaded everything back and had just one more to get back on..photoshop..my buddy has it on disk but I figured I'd just get a bittorrent off mininova using Vuse (Azureous)... I download CS4 and all it amounted to be was a .exe file 9 trogans. I caught it all and removed them and scanned the pc... all is well back in who ville...I'll manually put back the photoshop when I get my disk back. Only one way to get out of a funk like this, I'm callin the bait monkey an makin plans rofl rant over ![]() |
