Have you ever thought about what the bass is thinking when you hold him in the net or with your hand and he is looking at you? Here is some insight...

Thats what I kept saying (to myself and out loud ) last week when I caught the tied up bass. That is an interesting thought tho. Do the bass remember that you caught them 30 seconds after they hit the water again (like a goldfish? )

I know pickerel don't. Caught one and released it. It swam around in shallow water and as soon as the same bait swam by it chased after it and hit it again. Not the smartest animal in the food chain.

You catch fish with old hooks in them sometimes. Some say they are smart, maybe they are just good at hide and seek.

Ya hear about bass that will hit after 5 minutes but they are tricky critters, everyone that ever hooked a five pounder pre fishing will tell you most of the times when you go back the next day she's no where to be found ....I think they just are more in the category of really agressive an hit most things that look injured, or just picky about what they want that day...This last week and counted numerous bass that just shyed away from the lure when it got near them..the ones we did catch came out of nowhere in the warmer grass an hit slow moving flukes and slow cranking a bandit, and one hit a TS football jig but I missed it |
