				 | Fish Finder problem

I have a Humminbird 200 DX mounted on the bow of my bass boat with the transducer on the motor of the trolling motor. Here's the problem: Say I'm in 5 ft of water, it will show that depth for a while and then I'll hear a beep and it will tell me I'm in something like 365 ft of water and then maybe it will beep again awhile later and correctly tell me I'm in 5 ft of water, or it may get stuck on 365. If I turn it off and then turn it back on it will show the correct depth for awhile and then show a real deep depth. Solutions or suggestions? |

sounds to me like your sensitivity is too high. when you get in shallow water try turning it down and see if that helps. you can turn it back up when you move back out to deeper water.
