help with rod.
Ok i found this rod and i really dont remember having it, its been in the basement UP in the rafters for about 2 years or more, Dont know how in the hell it got there but after some cleaning on the spider webs, and a quick wash down i realized its not such a bad rod, i cant remember where or when i got it, it might of been one of those Birthday gifts from an Ex girl friend, or maybe its not even mine at all (laughs)
Problem is i dont know what its good for, so i came here to ask you guys. Its a Team all star IM10 graphite model TAS786C lgth 6'6 line wt. 10-20lb lure wt. 1/4 -3/4 ounce fast-medium heavy and it has a "3" in a circle after that. I got a topwater/jerkbait rod with the reel below, and a 7 ft rod with a heavy backbone for flip'n, on a quantum reel with a flip'n switch. thats all i really like to use when i fish...for my light lures i use my Pflueger supreme spinning reel, with a St. croix legend elite rod. so what would this rod be good for, if i put on another reel like the one below on it? crankbaits? (I think i would want a softer tip) spinnerbaits? http://www.tackletour.com/images2/pi...7reelspf12.jpg

I'd say that is a fair set up for Jigs and T-Rigs based on the provided specks. That might not be ideal for lures with treble hooks, but there isn't a law in the books that could stop you from trying.

Sounds like a terrible rod. I think you should send it to me. I will waive the hazmat handling fee if you pay for shipping.

It is the same length, power, and action that i use for my spinnerbaits, i would pair that with a 7.1:1 reel, and some 15-20 lb. mono and use it for spinnerbaits.
