				 | 11 Lber caught today

I caught a 11# LMB on lake murray in southern Oklahoma today. I donated it to Bass Pro Shops in Dallas they are going to take it to springfeild and put it in a isolation for 30 days and then send it to the Oklahoma City Store after that they seem to really take good care of her and theyh are making me a Replica of it. |

I don't know the exact wieght they start to give the replicas away but it doesn't have to be a record, they just trade replicas for bigger fish.

I don't understand why people want to take a fish like that to Bass Pro Shops (especially if it came out of a pond). I might respect the idea from a big public lake, but if you catch it from a smaller pond/water system then it can cause problems with the fishery. The fish won't be happy living in a 15 foot tank and being fed goldfish. A fish like that needs more room. It'll be very stressed in a tank with a bunch of other fish that close to it and no room to swim. My guess is that people do it for attention and to get that free mount.

ok i thinkg you got it reversed....It would be better coming from a small pond then from a big lake....

Most people will never see a live bass that size. And it may be near the end of it's life anyway, so why not let tens of thousands of people enjoy it for a little while?
