Finally, first fish of the season.
Went out my pond today and casted a shaky head a bit before it got too windy. After the wind picked up, I went back inside. Well after working in the yard almost all day, at about 4:00, I grabbed a rod and reel and slipped a 3/8 oz sinker on it. Then I tied a swivel on, like a C-rig w/o a bead. I tied on a leader and then, instead of a plastic bait, I put on a small floating bass fly made of cork. in about two casts, I had one hooked.
Like all the bass in my pond, it wasn't very big, about 9" and quite skinny, but it was the first bass of the season! so WHOOOOO!!!  BB

haha i rember when i caught my first one of the year.
it was almost 2 months ago  haha and 3.5 lbs hahaha

you arent kidding ejvesper. i haven been out 3 times and caught a 9" bass and foulhooked a 7" shad on an xrap. all these southern guys are killing me!
