				 | Mercury Trim

I'm new to the forum everyone and have a 90 horse, 1983 merc on a bass boat. My trim is sluggish and I need to know how and where to check the fluid. Thanks for looking and good fishing.

1983 Merc 90hp is a inline 6 cylinder and unless someone has modified the center section your trim pump and resivoir is in the bilge area. Look under the rear deck for the pump.......top screw depending on how it has been mounted....it does tell you where to add fluid............you gotta add it SLOWLY through a SMALL funnel.........with the motor UP and on the manual motor support.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I topped it off and hit Lake Michigan yesterday and boated four smallmouth. Any ideas on what it may cost to replace the trim unit? Just wondering in case I have problems down the road.
