			depends on the boat.. but most say the bottom of the skeg is supose to be about 12" under the water. now me i figure if i want to get skinny i'll yank it up far enough to make wirlpools everytime i step on it.. or if i am in the rough stuff and i am getting extra moist from the prop i'll shove it deeper.. zooker
