Default Pinnacle Platinum LP100

Hey guys, just wondered if anybody knows how to remove the sideplate from a Pinnacle Platinum LP100 caster? A buddy asked me to clean and lube it but cannot get the sideplate off. Thanks

Ryan

my buddy has the same reel but we cant figure it out either, i dont think the side plate will rotate, but you can try it. rotate the magnetic drag side plate. it may go 1/3rd of a turn, then there should be a screw to the other side plate.

I have two......loosen the mag knob(trust me, i don't know why but it helps)....then rotate the side plate counter clockwise. The front edge of the plate will then be pointing down. Like stated above it will turn just a bit, maybe a 1/2 inch and depending on the level of gunk it may stick. After it is rotated, wiggle it ever so slightly as you pull it straight away from the reel. Take out the spool and there is a screw to aid in removing the other side plate if needed.
