Default Cabelas Fluorocarbon

Well 1000 yards for $35 sounds like a great deal should i jump on it or save my money for somthing else?

I have not yet tried it, but I think all of cabelas stuff is made elswhere, if a good company makes it, then go for it.

yeah im going to call and try and find out who makes it in the morn. ive looked at a couple post on other forums and one said vanish the other said carbon pro.

Well i called and the only info they would give me is that it was made in japan

I didn't care for it. I found it to be very brittle.

Unless something is on closeout clearance or the store is closing, I have always found it to be the case that things are very inexpesive for a reason.

Most fluoros are made in japan, with the exception of few which are made in germany. I don't know if any are actually manufactered here in the US though.

vanish and carbon pro aren't brands. Vanish is made by berkley and is crap (but I've heard good things about Trilene 100%) and carbon pro is made by Seaguar (one of the german ones and one of the first fluoros on the market). I personally really like Seaguar fluoro, but I'd spend a bit more and get Invisx over the Carbon Pro.

That's true. I think if there's one area in life where "you get what you pay for" really shines, its in fishing.
