Fun with dry ice
Bottle rockets, you can buy them anywhere at your local firework dealer assuming they're legal in you state. simple and cheap solution: dry ice!
Hand grenades, pretty much illegal for public use in every state. simple solution: dry ice! (albeit non-lethal) You pretty much get the idea, you ever play withe dry ice?
