Default Stradic C14

Get yourself one. I got my hands on a 2500 I will be changing out all of my Shimano mags. This is one nice piece.

Not too pretty to look at but its in the performance.

I do plan on getting at least one this winter. I wish they had a 2000 but maybe the 2500 will be small enough. I think it will be perfect on my #1 drop shot rod. The specs look great and I have never been disappointed with any Shimano reels. Toss in a couple Cores and I'll be all set.

I have to disagree with vegas one one thing here: I think these reels look awesome!

But looks aside, it is the performance that matters. I'd eventually like to get one for my Shimano Crucial DS rod. I also bet these would look sweet on a Cumara.

I'd like to see how it compares to Abu's Soron STX.

By the way, I also think the Stradic looks cool. I love understated colors instead of BLING!!!

Vegas, How do you like that round knob? That is the one thing I am curious about how it would feel.

The round knob was a concern but mostly because I really like the knobs on the MgFB’s but really not an issue. Of course I have not been in the fight of my life with it. I ended up not putting as many hours on it yet. I put it on a 7’7” GLoomis Bronzeback but ended up top water fishing most of the day. I am going to be in Florida for holidays and will try it out on some Snook and Redfish so we will see if the knob is an issue with all of that cranking. I guess I will get use to how it looks.
