Headin' Out - First Tourney of the Year
Headin' out here in a couple of minutes boys... First tourney of the year for me. It is 19 degrees out right now an am bracing for a cold ride to the spot this morning. Fishing 9 to 4 on the Portage River. Will post back tonight, with hopefully good results.
Ryan

Go get em. I am sitting in line at the lake myself for a tourney. But my weather is a little better.

Well, boys I WON!!! My first actual tournament win, for the whole thing, not just the coangler side, but the whole thing. A couple guys zeroed, one guy weighed in one largemouth. My boater weighed in the big bass ever in the club... was a 5.72 smallmouth... He had 2 fish for 8 and some change.
We ended up running about 20 miles on Erie this morning in 3 and 4 footers. Took us a little over an hour to get there, and an hour to get back. I had 4 smallmouth that weighed a hair under 16 pounds. Biggest was about 4 lbs. 13 oz. Caught 2 on a Strike King Green Pumpkin Coffee Tube with a 3/8 tube head, and the other on a dropshot rig w/ a Strike King 4" Finesse Worm in Green Pumpkin. The best of all is I am on top of points and weight for AOY and Mr. Bass! (My 2 big smallmouth) (My boaters big 5.72 smallmouth) Ryan
