Caught this 5.5 last night off a Jitterbug.
Luckily, I had a buddy fishin with me, or it'd be another forearm/half a fish shot. Sometimes even a finger in the way!

Thanks guys! I know in a lot of places, that's a baby lol but I start smilin every time I think about it.
Not really sure I can enter it into the contest since I didn't photograph the weight. I'd had it out of the water long enough due to the hookset and wanted to get it back in.
Also would have liked to measure it, since 24" puts me on the master angler list but just didn't have time.
I'll hafta catch him again, I guess

Thanks, catch! That stinks! Catch N Release hasn't started for you guys up north yet?
I was so happy to get out there last weekend it was unreal!
I need to start ice fishing or buy a PS3. Anything to get away from offseason Blues and the Bait Monkey.

Thanks! Last I knew, they were still callin for snow tomorrow.

Great fish Mallen!!! Congrats!!!! My best so far this season was a 9 lber....unfortunatley it was the toothy torpedo type (aka northern pike) that took a 4" dinger. Hope you get many more like this one!!
