Ok, i HAVE been fishing gang. First trip was a week ago sunday. Did pretty good, caught 8 total and 3 keepers. Filleted those and got a nice dinner bag in da freezer.
Went and met GBASSMAN wednesday after work for a few hrs. He caught 3 (i think), and i caught 3. 1 keeper, we weighed it and she was 3#14oz. threw her back as well. went yesterday. the grass is HOT! the lizzard bite is killing em (for me anyway, hehe). caught 12 total and had 3 keepers. yes those are in the freezer. Met a fella and his son that used to work where i work. they had a LIMIT! ranged from 3#-5#. brushhog, watermellonred. after they left and i found out what they used, i switched. BUT as you have already guessed i got nothing on the dang thang, lol. Now i gotta fish the mudhole for a while (weiss) cause it costs me half a tank of gas in the truck each time i go to g'ville. I gotta learn that lake anyway. OH, i forgot. last sunday when i was up in jones cove on g'vile. i spooked a HUGE ol female and her boyriend, mb and zooker know about this. i am telling oyu gang, she has to be over 10#. after trying for OVER an hour to get her hooked she and b/f left the area. i left em alone for bout 45 mins to and hour. came back and they were gone. when we (gbassman and i) went wednesday, whe wasn't there. she is still ogne as of yesterday. i think she was still laying, but i don't know. her ol man kept running her off when i would put the bait RIGHT on her NOSE. i know there are late bed gals and all. but would she find another spot to bed? and if so, how far would she go from the original spot? i looked and couldn't find her anywhere in the little cove off the cove. thanks gang.
