				 | Another Fish/Ski question, I know, Please though

Ok, I know about alot of the models from the board, with the Ranger line tending to lead the favortism. So, was looking at the Triton 220 escape and the Champion 214FS. Havn't heard so much on these, especially the Champion. Both very nice looking boats. Plus, both of these models have up to 250 Outboard options and after contacting dealer, speeds past 70 mph. Any thoughts or owners out there? I know Ranger, Triton and Champion are probabley 3 of, if not the three best Bass rigs out there, IMO. I'm torn. |

Another boat to look at is a Skeeter. They make a fish-n-ski as well. | |

skeeter is a VERY good rig. from what i heard they are the only "hand laid" hull on the market in mass production. a VERY good friend of mine has one, i rode in it. VERY nice indeedy.

I've heard that the skeeters have a very rough ride though. Besides, I do alot of fishing on Lake Mead here in Vegas, and prefer the extra length of the Rangers, Tritons and Champions on such a big lake.

I like the Triton...lots of storage, and the front deck looks a little bigger. Fishing out of a 96 Stratos F/S I can tell you that Rod storage both on deck and under the floor can be a challenge... |

As for the rough ride, i disagree with ya. Now i will say this, the day i was in my buddy rig it was windy as heck. 25-30 mph winds and white caps 2-2 1/2 ft waves, so no matter WHAT rig we were in it was gonna be a rough ride. but when we got in out of the wind it was really smooth. But PLEASE do NOT take my advice and get a skeeter. you go test em all out first. then get what YOU like, AFTER ALL IT IS your RIG.
