Rigged & ready

Well, we're just over 24 hours away from bass opener here in MN and I'm all rigged up and ready to go! I just finished putting new line on the last of 9 reels -- 6 for me, 3 for my wife.

Our plan is to try to avoid what will undoubtedly be painful holiday weekend traffic tomorrow afternoon by cutting out of work early (10:00 a.m.) to begin the 4.5 hour trek up to the lake. I plan to toss a sucker minnow out from our dock tomorrow evening to see if I can land a 30"+ pike. Then I'll be out early Saturday morning and don't have much else planned other than bass fishing for 3 full days.

Will get a partial day of bass-chasin' in on Tuesday before heading back to the reality of the working world, but I think I can handle a 3-day work week.
