Day of Firsts
Got an el cheapo fly rod from my Mom for my birthday and took it out for the first time today, and lo and behold got my first bass on it. Nothing big but it put a huge smile on my face when I figured out how to actually make a cast go where I wanted it to go. Got him on a small fly-popper in white and it took me a minute to figure out how to get him in lol. I am going out again tomorrow to try some other fly's I bought at Dicks Sporting Goods and see if I can't upgrade the size of my bass on a fly rod.
