Fathers day fishing....

Started out tough this morning. It was hot and so was the water. The water temp was 83 degrees at 6 am I started off with a buzzbait but not really knowing why. I really didn't believe the fish would hit it but hey you never know. After throwing the buzzbait for a while and having just two fish roll on it I decided to get out the trusty jig. i fished that for a while with no takers. I then started throwing a worm and other plastics. I had two more bites but missed them. I then started throwing a frenzy crank in a fire tiger. I finally hooked my first fish but lost it soon after I hooked up with it. By then I was getting frustrated. After 4 hours of fishing I had nothing to show for it. Also by then it had gotten real hot anf the water temp jumped another 2 degrees. It was then I decided I was going to live or die by the crank bait. I continued throwing the crank and finally landed my first fish. I was really happy to get the skunk off me and it gave me a bit more confidence. I was just about to call it a day when I then hooked another fish in the 2-2 1/2 lb range. That gave me a bit more confidence and I finished off the day with one more 2 lb bass. All in all not a bad day. My GPS has a fishing mode and it said it would be an average day so I think it actually hit that really close.
