PB Smallmouth so far this yr

Took me all evening to find the bass. Tried all my favorite spots and nothing. Had no trouble landing the pike last night but then I came upon this shore with a rock "wall" in a part of the lake Ive never been and bam, the smallmouth action was on. The tailwalking action was good. Ive got the legal limit marked on my kayak and he was about 3" past that. The second fish and the others that followed were fairly small but loads of fun!!

Did he move your kayak any? That is a nice fish, geez I miss smallmouth.

Not that one. I had just flipped a worm against the rock and no sooner did it hit the water and bam he tailwalked it right back to me. Very nice guy, I thanked him for doing that too.

Beautiful Micropterus Chocolatus you have there.
