BLIZZARD of 2011
alright gang. SOME of oyu find it hard to believe that it actually SNOWS in alabama. well i got proof it does. this is the second time this winter it has snowed. actually thr first time it was still fall techinacly. daniel is gonna post the pics from my cell phone tonight after he gets home from work. some of you already have a picture of my house and me shoveling snow for my best friend GALLIE.
so who ever else that is in the area of where i am and in the path of this storm post up your pictures. we got somewhere around 8 inches and still have some more on the way according to the weatherman. freezing temps, sleet, snow and rain is gonna keep us locked down for a couple of days i am thinking. now IF any of my northern brothers do some sort of voodoo dance or anything to bring this down on us. TAKE IT BACK!!! this is DIXIE! we want hot days and nights, hahahaha. i TRULY do feel for you folks up there in the frozen tundra areas. ya'll can have this stuff. lmao!!! i have had enough of this winter now. ready for SPRING!!!

I sent you my winter pic already John. It was brutal. Heck, I almost had to wear socks instead of flip flops.

Bama,
I am just glad you got snow and not ice! Eight inches of snow is a lot better than just a little bit of ice. |

I responded to his pics with a picture of my daughter jumping on our new trampoline in the sunshine. I can't repeat his response.

You guys from the south have no right to complain about the cold and snow... your water doesn't get hard like ours does!

I knew it would come in handy that I left the snow tires on my car from last winter. I bet I'm the only one with Blizzaks in Mississippi!
We actually didn't get any snow here, it stayed too warm and we just got some ice on the trees and cars but most of it was rain. I do have a snowblower if you want to drop by and borrow John. |

It's too nasty around here even for me to get the boat out. The worst weather to be outside, 30's and rain. Now if I get a chance I may go try from shore.

Best fishin trip I ever had was on Kentucky Lake. Taking breaks every 15 minutes to get teh snow off teh deck. The snow was building up fast enough to weigh the boat down a few inches in teh water. We had to shovel to keep her afloat. But limited out on 5 pounders every day.

I burned my snow shovel when I left Ohio,we got about 1 in,and thats to much.
If it spits snow here they close schools, banks etc. They spray salt on the roads no snow plows,so doesnt take much to stop everything. But wont be long,5-6 weeks the fishing will be on again,in earnest. |
