				 | Float Trip

The Bandit and I got great Cristmas present from my wonderful wife. We are going to do a two day float trip on the New River in W.Va. the 4th wk of April. Small crankbaits and white spinnerbaits and big fat smallmouth. Can't wait. The sad part is we will miss the Bama gettogather.

You are going to have a ball!! I have fished New River 3 times (were the river comes into Claytor Lake) and caught tons of nice fish. Spinner bait and tubes mainly. Watch out for the muskies. I hung one of those toothy things and they are a handful on bass tackle. You may even get a walleye or two. It will definitely be a trip to remember. You are going to be so sore you will probably want spend the next few nights in a hot tub!! Don't know if your going with them but New River Outdoors (Brit Stoudemire) has an excellent website and sends out a newsletter about once a month with fishing info and some pictures of fish being caught. Plus he is at most of the fishing shows. doing seminars etc. |
