Default Trailor Hooks

Sorry dumb question. :-[Are trailor hooks a certain kind of hook or can u 'just use a regular hook?

you can use a regular hook as long as the eye will fit over the point of the other hook.

02 is correct-the point of the main hook needs to be able to go through the eye of the trailer hook. Other than that there are no hard and fast rules. When I first started using them I bought a bag of trot line hooks that were inexpensive and did a great job.

To answer the first part of your question, yes, trailer hooks are a certain type of hook and the package labels them as trailer hooks. But as was pointed out above, you could use a regular hook if the eye is large enough to fit over the point and barb of the main hook.
