Are you referring to the Bass Pro shops Pro Qualifier? If so it is a good reel. I prefer the BPS Extreme, but the Pro Qualifier is a good reel.

I think you would be pleased with that reel. Are you looking at purchasing a new one from BPS? If so they just updated them recently so the have a one piece aluminium frame and ITS (or something) breaking system. I think they are a pretty good reel, but now since the updates you can get the Extreme for less.

I've got a pro qualifier light spinning reel. 4-8 lb test and it was a great reel. something got bent though or has just worn out. but it an extremely smooth drag and never had any problems with the bail or spring. Was a great buy at $65.00. can't find anything now that is as smooth for under $120.00
